Pedro Duarte Bento is an architect, essayist and researcher. Holds a PhD in Architecture and a BArch, both from Lisbon School of Architecture - FAUL. Has a specialization in Large-format Photography from ICP-New York; and a certificate in Film, Images and Historical Interpretation by the Royal Holloway-University of London. Recipient of Fundacao Oriente scholarship to document the shipbreaking industries in India and Bangladesh. Has authored essays on architecture, folk history, image interpretation and visual culture.
