Pedro Duarte Bento is an architect, essayist and researcher. Holds a PhD in Architecture from FAUL-Lisbon School of Architecture, and has a specialization in Large-format Film Photography from ICP-New York. Recipient of Fundacao Oriente's scholarship to document the shipbreaking industries in India and Bangladesh. Spent his foundational years working in award-winning architectural offices in New York City and Barcelona.
Since 2017 combines an independent pluridisciplinary practice of architecture, edition and academic research. Has designed cultural and residential buildings in multiple geographies; has authored essays on architecture, folk history, and visual culture.
